The first training in the ALIJ Court-Appointed Counsel Training and Support Program will be held in Judge Satler’s courtroom at the Allegheny County Courthouse on October 24, at 11:30 AM until 1 PM.

The training offers the opportunity for defense lawyers who accept criminal court-appointments in Allegheny County to receive free CLE credits.

The training will focus on the ethical obligation of counsel to provide competent representation, the resources offered by ALIJ in their mission to support court-appointed counsel, and the future of the training program. Expected speakers include: Matt Dugan, Turahn Jenkins, Nina Martineli, Jake Naylor, and Rob Perkins.
